I dont' understand

Tom fulp's pathetic attempts to advertise to get some sympathy and get his site promoted. If he just askedn nicely that he needs some help to get this site going again i'd be glad to help him out, but adding in these popups aren't going to help anyone.

I say we all help Tom though, he needs help with this site, because, everyone knows (who is a webmaster) that it's hard to run a big site. I know if you make a few donations that you won't even have to pay for this site.
